Looking for a career in digital marketing? Future growth and scope of digital marketing jobs in India! | ANTS Digital

Digital marketing – an industry that is fast-paced, ever-changing, and ripe with potential for growth! It is one of those fields where, apart from experience, an eagerness to learn, creativity and analytical ability are the key pillars. If one is considering a career in digital marketing without any marketing degree in hand, do not worry; digital marketing has many facets to it wherein a newbie can get started and excel.
The scope of digital marketing in India-
Digital Marketing in India has witnessed exponential growth over the last few years. By the end of 2020, the expected growth of digital marketing jobs for freshers will be around 20 lacs.
With government supporting ‘Digital India’ and Indian start-ups, more jobs are being created for people in the field of digital marketing.
Apart from that, the internet penetration in India is the highest, leaving behind countries like US & UK; thus, the share of advertisement allocation to digital media is also expected to be around Rs 25,200 crores by the year 2020.
A Career in Digital Marketing – Different Verticals:
Digital marketing jobs for freshers are immense. If you love coding, you may opt for a web designing vertical; if you love writing, then being a copywriter/content writer is a great option. Other verticals are – being a SEO specialist, social media specialist, an affiliate marketer, graphic designer etc.
If not in any digital start-up or agency, one may work as a freelancer on a project basis or become an entrepreneur.
The frequency at which technology is advancing is unbelievable.
From the latest mobile technologies to new social platforms, every day brings a unique opportunity and challenge. The rate at which businesses are moving toward digital solutions, the future for conventional and traditional marketing surely appears to be bleak.
Bottom line-
Digital age is here!
Digital marketing is not a trend, but a path of how marketing will be enforced by brands going forward. Apart from being more affordable and effective than traditional techniques, digital marketing results can be monitored and tracked to corrective actions.
Businesses/brands who don’t plan to adapt to the new marketing climate may run the risk of facing extinction sooner rather than later.
So, a career in digital marketing is undoubtedly promising and rewarding!
